Title: VST OX Post by snare on Jun 2nd, 2003, 1:21am Have you considered making a VST plugin that will link to OX so that the setting in OX are saved in our tracks. I often setup OX differently for a tracks so I can modulate certain parameters in a particular way. Being able to save those OX setting from within my sequencer would be great. You could perhaps look at integrating automation of some settings so that we can change the way the controllers work in real time. Cheers |

Title: Re: VST OX Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 2nd, 2003, 8:24pm I'm not sure how we could manage to affect an external Sequencers tracks, but there is a feature you might be able to use today: Snapshots. A Snapshot is a recording of the state of each variable and controller possibly displayed in the MIDI-OX MIDI Status View. You can save the state as a file, then open it later and Send it back to the Sequencer. |

Title: Re: VST OX Post by snare on Jun 6th, 2003, 8:20pm 'I'm not sure how we could manage to affect an external Sequencers tracks.' I realise that midi ox doesn't affect the sequencer tracks. What I am asking for is that OX settings are saved within the sequencer so that it is much easier to recall them. For example: I often set up OXs midi device routing and data mapping differently for particular tracks as different tracks call for different pieces of external equipment and different control methods. I achieve this through OX and would find it much easier to set up if I could recall the settings from within my VST host by putting in a VST plugin that communicated with OX and told it which settings/presets to load when I load up the track. Rather than having to save the presets in OX in the first place and then load them when I open the track. Hope you see what I mean. I am going to talk to a VST developer to see if this sort of plugin is possible. |
