Title: How to send "raw data" via SysEx ?? Post by samulasun on Aug 22nd, 2005, 2:30am Hello all, I am new here. I try to send some data to my special midi device. I have a text file and I simply modified the sub-filename to *.syx. The content of this file looks like this: "50 20 30 20 34 0D 0A". I think I should send "F0 50 20 30 20 34 0D 0A F7" to SysEx. But I do know how to change my original file to specific sysex file. Is there anyone could tell me how to send "raw data" to my external device? Thanks Regards |

If they were text they'd probably have a .TXT extension. In MIDI-OX SysEx View, after choosing Load File... you can change the file filter to text files (Files of Type: Text (*.txt)). Alternatively, if you want to use a TEXT file, load it into NotePad, choose Edit | Select All and then Edit | Copy. In MIDI-OX SysEx view choose Display Window | Paste... Now you should be able to Send... or Save... it. |
