Title: In Out mapping Post by FG445 on Jun 6th, 2005, 4:59pm Hello there, Im nu in here and want to held u up with my problems. ;D The Trouble is: I have FLstudio running as Sequencer. U maybe know that theres just one output Port for Midi Master sync. And in addition excactly one Remote Input port. So i used Midiyoke to map all three Input devices - Keyboard / Microwave XT / Virus C - on one output Port . I used this output Port as Remote input Port in FL studio , so i can record all those Devices simultaneously. Now that thereīs only one output for Midi Master sync , i want to map from FL through Midiyoke and to my both Synthesizers to have them synced to FL studio Master sync. But somehow thats not possible ??? Can anyone of you help me out and describe me how to get outta that pesky Situation? Maybe one has this Problem quite often :-/ Cheers ===FFW===>> |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 10th, 2005, 3:06pm It's possible. Choose a different MIDI Yoke Port (2) as your FL Master Sync output port. Download, Install, and launch MIDI-OX. Choose MIDI Yoke NT Port 2 as input to MIDI-OX and your 2 synths as output (more precisely, choose the MIDI device output ports for those Synths). Open the routing Window in MIDI-OX and make sure the MIDI Yoke input port is routed to the 2 output ports. |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by FG445 on Jun 11th, 2005, 4:08am For me , thats somehow not possible. I think its because i have routed those 2 Synths already - as u proposed but to merge the input of them to Midiyoke NT Port 1. I use this Port as the Input Port in FL studio, whereas i want to split the Masterclock output to the two Synths. When i configure it like u suggested then there somhow a managment Problem for those Ports occurs when i open FL studio. I think its because i still use the real Outputports in FLstudio with the Midiout Plugin - sure because i want to trigger them seperatley - not both at the same time. So theres a conflict between the mapping of them in Midiyoke rather in FL studio. I just dont know how to get my feet on the ground there . Thats annoying :P I hope i have expressed this issue passably... Cheers ===FFW===>> |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 11th, 2005, 12:32pm It sounds like your MIDI Output drivers are not multi-client. To get this to work as you want, you would have to use MIDI Yoke ports as Outputs from FL: attach those MIDI Yokes as Input to MIDI-OX and choose the real hardware MIDI outputs as output from MIDI-OX. To summarize, you'd use 3 MIDI Yoke ports as output from FL. One as the Sync output and two as the MIDI Outputs. In MIDI-OX you'd attach those 3 MIDI Yokes as Input and your hardware MIDI Ports as output. You'd then route the Sync MIDI Yoke to both outputs, and each of the other MIDI Yokes to the respective hardware output port desired. |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by FG445 on Jun 11th, 2005, 7:41pm yeah , this sounds good 8) Im on my way trying that.... btw , thanx for ur effort , i really appreciate that. i will report bout the thing..... Cheers ===FFW===>> |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by FG445 on Jun 12th, 2005, 3:20pm Ok , if i configure it like u suggested it works. But then i have another Problem : How to get any Signals from The two Synths and the Masterkeyboard through 1 Outputport which i define as Input in FLstudio (Remote Input - thereīs only 1 you can choose in FLstudio). And if I configure those three Inputs in Midox and route them to 1 Output of Midiyoke - no problem . So whats the point now ? I cant run both configurations in Midiox at the same time..... Then , exactly and only then i get those Problem that FL canīt assign the Outputport for my Hammerfall Interface anymore. ( U have to set up a specific "port" to each midiport in flstudio) What to do now??? Cant i have both things together? ??? Cheers ===FFW===>> |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 13th, 2005, 12:39am I'm confused by your response. Please be careful as to what you are labeling Inputs and Outputs. I do not know what fruity loops supports, but I assume it allows a certain number of MIDI Input ports and then Passes data to a certain number of Output ports? I would guess you only need one input port to FL: the master keyboard? I previously understood that you wanted to attach to 3 output ports from FL: 1) Sync 2) Synth1 3) Synth2. What else do you need? |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by FG445 on Jun 13th, 2005, 5:56am Alright, unfortunately it is really the case that there is just one Input port in FLstudio. And when i want to play and record one of the Synthesizers with a little adjustment during my play, i need to record the controller data from the Synth and the Masterkeyboard simultaneously. This excactly is what i want to do. Therefore i canīt get anything from just defining my Masterkeyboard as Input. I need to merge everything - from the two Synths and the Masterkeyboard - through one Port which i use as Input in FLstudio. And if i configure - as i said - Midiox that way , i canīt split the clock over my Synthsizer Inputs anymore.... I hope i have made that clear :-/ Its really hard to have such detailed Problems..... Thx for your effort anyway ::) Cheers ===FFW===>> |

Title: Re: In Out mapping Post by Jamie OConnell on Jun 13th, 2005, 12:18pm You can use another MIDI-OX instance (or the same one if you do careful routing) to merge inputs to FL. In MIDI-OX (1) Attach Input hardware MIDI Ports (KeyBoard, Synths) Choose MIDI Yoke 4 as Output. In MIDI-OX (1) Route the inputs to the output. In FL choose MIDI Yoke 4 as Input. In FL choose MIDI Yoke 1 as Sync Output, Choose MIDI Yoke 2 as the Synth 1 Output, choose MIDI Yoke 3 as Synth 2 output. In MIDI-OX (2) choose MIDI Yoke 1, MIDI Yoke 2 and MIDI Yoke 3 as Inputs. Choose each synth hardware MIDI Port as MIDI-OX (2) Output. In MIDI-OX (2) Route MIDI Yoke 1 to both Synth Outputs, Route MIDI Yoke 2 to Synth 1, and route MIDI Yoke 3 to Synth 2. |
