Title: Latencyproblem Post by Henkmusic on Jul 31st, 2005, 9:04pm Hello everyone, My name is Henk, I ’m from Holland and I ’m new on this forum. I ’m a starter on midi, Midi-Yoke and Midi-Ox. I worked for years with several keyboards from all brands but now I sold my last one and switched to a digital piano. My gear now: Casio PX 300 digital piano with midi-in, out and through, with accompaniment M-Audio Midisport 2X2 interface, Midi-in A, B, Midi-out A, B, with Midi-through switch, USB Behringer Eurorack 2642 16 channel mixer Alesis M EQ 230 equalizer Digitech Midi Vocalist Behringer Multicomp Pro compressor-limiter Alesis Midiverb III Notebook 2 GHz, 256 MB, Win XP, SP2 I use Onemanband (OMB) for accompaniment I have also available but not used: Evolution MK 361C midikeyboard; Roland Soundcanvass SC55 I wired as follows: Midi-out from piano to Midi-in A on Midisport Midi-out A from Midisport to Midi-in on piano Midi-through from piano to Midi-in on vocalist USB on Midisport to USB on computer. I have installed Midi-Yoke and available NT 1 to 7 On OMB I set Midi-in to IN Midisport A USB On OMB I set Midi-out to OUT Midisport A USB With that configuration I use the piano to play melody and chords triggering OMB and the vocalist. The accompaniment uses the sounds from the piano. So far so good, but now my problem. When I use the sounds for melody from OMB there’s a huge latency. As I mentioned I have already installed Midi-Yoke but I don’t know how to use it. Can you tell me how I must use it and how I can solve the latency problem? Regards, Henk |
