Title: midi yoke and sonar 3 Post by skooterboy on Dec 25th, 2004, 2:20am Happy Holidays! I'm from Southeast Asia. I already used midi yoke with reason propellerheads. But right now I don't know which output to use with sonar 3. I tried to follow the instructions provided by bome's mouse keyboard http://www.bome.com/midi/keyboard/help/sonar_tut.php which output will I choose? I don't have the wdm xg output as shown in the instructions. I only have midi mapper, mpu-401 and yoke 1 ,2,3.... ::) |

Title: Re: vs3 & bome Post by maiki on Feb 5th, 2005, 12:16pm I'm not sure what your question is, which output are you referring to. The output for Bome's should be one of the Midiyoke outputs (whichever you like). The input for the MIDI track that you wish to control with Bome's should be the Midiyoke input with the same number as the output you chose for Bome's. As far as the output for the MIDI track, that all depends on what you wish to play with that track--a synth you have installed systemwide, or a plug-in DXI or VST (with wrapper) synth. If you wish to play Vsampler with that track, then the output of that MIDI track should be set to Vsampler. (Insert-DXI Synth, to create the VSampler output, which will create an audio track for it as well.) I don't know if you might be having the same problem as I, described in another thread, although it is not clear from your post. In my case with Sonar 4. Although I have Bome's through Midiyoke set up correctly, and it works correctly with a systemwide softsynth (such as Yamaha syxg50), if I try to use it with a DXI or VSC plugin synth one hears no sound, except when actually recording. I still have not solved that problem, cannot find a solution. on 12/25/04 at 03:29:14, skooterboy wrote:
