Title: cubase VST and soundforge 6 Post by quart on Jul 9th, 2004, 5:39am I'm trying to use Cubase as a master and SForge as the slave. I want to hit a key on my keyboard which will play my midi sequence in Cubase and the same key will trigger Sforge to start recording. I created a track in Cubase to play a note (D4) and set the output as Midi yoke5 in SForge I set the triggger input in MIDI/SYNC as MIDI YOKE5 but no success Anyone succeeded? |

Title: Re: cubase VST and soundforge 6 Post by Jamie OConnell on Jul 10th, 2004, 2:20pm You want to route like this: ...->[Cubase]->[MIDI Yoke 5]->[SForge] So select MIDI Yoke 5 as OUTPUT is Cubase. Set MIDI Yoke 5 as INPUT to Sound Forge (not output). This assumes that Cubase can act as SMPTE/MTC master, but I have no verification of that? |

Title: Re: cubase VST and soundforge 6 Post by quart on Jul 12th, 2004, 8:36am In Cubase O/P was MidiYoke5 and in SForge I/P was MidiYoke5. My bad grammar made the question ambiguous. I managed to get this to work using a Midiman Midisport 4*4 box and found that the key to start in Cubase had to be an octave lower than the key in SForge. When I hit my Yamaha keyboard C4 as long as the remote control key to start in Cubase was set to C3 it worked OK. I will try this using MidiYoke and let you know the result. Thanks for the prompt reply.. |
