Title: Re: NTSF compatibility??? Post by Jamie OConnell on Jan 28th, 2003, 2:53pm There are no isses with NTFS. How could that possibly make any difference? You do understand that NTFS is only a file system? |

Title: Re: NTSF compatibility??? Post by Saie_Tahnn on Jan 29th, 2003, 12:48pm just asking Jamie - some software likes fat 32 only - not ntsf - with fat 32 - or back and forth. i've seen issues with and been warned about compatabiity issues using other wares with a f32 drive and a ntsf drive so - i asked -as for why they're would be a problem - hell i don't know i'm not a tech or programmer and I'm running both ntsf and f32 drives on my system but thanks for clearing that up for me in regards to this software. |

Title: Re: NTSF compatibility??? Post by Jamie OConnell on Jan 30th, 2003, 12:37pm I haven't heard much about compatibility problems with any software regarding NTFS vs. FAT 32, but I would guess that any issues would probably be associated with applications that require heavy disk access or usage. For the record, I am using MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke on a Win XP PRO machine using NTFS, and on a Win 2000 PRO machine using FAT 32. |
