Title: getting rid of MIDIYOKE Post by interferenz on Dec 29th, 2002, 2:22pm Hi, I want to uninstall MIDIYOKE after a a few attemps to install it on Win2K which seems to have end in a partial installation. MIDIYOKE is listed as a MIDI device, but not as a device in the WIN2k control panel, so I cannot uninstall it this way. The MYJOKENT.DLL is loaded, there is a file lock on it. How can I get complety rid of it ? greetings interferenz |

Title: Re: getting rid of MIDIYOKE Post by Jamie OConnell on Dec 30th, 2002, 1:52pm If it is listed as a MIDI device, it should also be listed in both Control Panel | System | Hardware | Device manager | Sound, Video and Game Controllers and Control panel | Sounds and Multimedia | Hardware. If you installed it using MYNTAuto.exe (no longer recommended for Win2K), it is listed under Legacy Audio Devices. If you can find it in any of those places it can be removed by [Properties] | Driver | [ Uninstall ] |

Title: Re: getting rid of MIDIYOKE Post by interferenz on Dec 30th, 2002, 4:14pm I have checked it once again, MIDIYOKE is not listed in the device manager nor in the control panel. Nevertheless it is listed in MIDI applications as a MIDI device, the MYJOKENT.DLL is loaded, there is a file lock on it. Very strange! interferenz |

You should try expanding Legacy Audio devices, as that is the remaining place MYOKENT.DLL could be hiding. When listed, it appaears as MIDI Yoke NT. You could manually remove it by editing the registry as described here: http://www.rme-audio.de/english/faq/10entrye.htm After rebooting, you should be able to delete MYOKENT.DLL from the System32 folder. |
