Sysex dump to Yamaha FS1R

Hello, I have problem when sending syx files from MidiOx to Yamaha FS1R. Yamaha doesn't recognize this data as bulk dump and as a result no performance or voice is received. Here are some notes: - Syx file was created with MidiOx with data received from FS1R - no problem here - Same file can be successfully sent by Sonar Sysex utility and is correctly recognized by FS1R. - Yamaha displays "Bulk received!" if all works well, which is not the case with MidiOx, but is with Sonar. Please help! Thanks in advance, Smiley

What settings are you using in the MIDI OX SysEx utility for sending? Have you tried adjusting them, e.g. the timing?

I can try that tonight. Do you have any suggestions what to try first? Cheers, Smiley

Can't remember if this works or not (I've not got the FCB1010 on right now): Low Level Input Buffers: 4096, 16 Low Level Output Buffers: 4096, 16 Delay between buffers: 60ms Delay After F7: 60ms Actually, the output bit looks pants. Try 64, 1024 instead... (that gives you lots of 60ms delays... so you might get away with a smaller delay... or it might still need more delay...). If you do a search on FCB1010 here, you might find the settings I used that worked - I think I posted them.

Results: for FS1R it is enough to set buffer size to be greater then aprox. 612, so 640 did just fine. 612 is max size of one sysex package, and obviously Yamaha wants to receive it in one piece. Timing is not critical. Everything above 50-60 ms is OK. Thanks for help! Cheers, Smiley
