Hi there,

I followed the guidelines in the installation tutorial and at step 8 I can not find any file named oemsetup.inf neither can my windows search engine.
The myokent.dll file (driver?) is in the following folder:

C:\WINDOWS\System32

I could never do the following steps...

Thx for helping,

Sascha

sorry,
I just found the topic with an explanation for my problem.

But still something isn't working. When I attach my usb MidiKeyboard to the Midiyoke In 1 still nothing happens in Cubase. Do I have to connect Midiyoke with USB somewhere?

Thx
Sascha

Why don't you open your USB keyboard directly in Cubase?

MIDI Yoke is used only to attach MIDI APPLICATIONS together, not hardware nor other drivers.  You have to insert an APPLICATION between hardware (drivers) and MIDI Yoke (such as the MIDI-OX APPLICATION).

I have allready installed the Midi OX program but I couldn't find a setting where I could set a USB as an MIDI input. Please forgive me but I'm a complete beginner Embarassed
Besides two years ago I had a much older laptop (Dell Inspiron 5100) and I just plugged in the M-Audio USB Keyboard and it worked well in Cubase. Now with my brand new ThinkPad Lenovo T61p it wont work at all. I'm trying it now for days. I could cry  Cry

Thanks for your patience

I am not sure whether M-Audio provides a custom driver for this keyboard, but it's worth checking.  In any case, they should be able to help you setup a driver for the keyboard.
