(repeat post cause it was post on the bad forum)

Hi,
Someone at KVR told me that it was possible, with midi-yoke, to make hauptwerk (non-vst) sounds in my music midi track (I use ableton live).

But I don't know how to do it (I've set midi yoke #1 in both...but it doesn't work...)

Someone can help?

Thank you,

Patrick

MIDI Yoke is a Patch Cable driver: you hook one end (MIDI Yoke 1 Out, for instance) to the Output port in one application and the other end (MIDI Yoke 1 Input) to the MIDI Input port in a different application.

You said you used 2 MIDI Yoke 1 ports, but you didn't say anything about output to input.  This is key: attaching to 2 MIDI Yoke 1 Output ports will merge data, but if nothing is attached to the MIDI Yoke 1 Input it doesn't go anywhere.  Equivalently, attaching to 2 MIDI Yoke 1 Input ports will 'Y' the MIDI data, but if there's nothing attached to MIDI Yoke 1 Output, no data will flow.

In hauptwerk, what midi input do I have to put "midi yoke 1" ?

Fixed manual midi input ?
Redirectable manual midi input ?
Enclosure midi input?
Huh

I think I've tried everything...

Jamie,
In midiox, the setup window lists midi yoke nt 1 through 6 on the output devices list at the bottom of the window. I assume that highlighting it selects it as output.  My input selection is above, USB IN A from the keyboards.  Using miditzer virtual organ software,  in the setup, picking the input midi device displays a list of choices, among witch is Yoke nt 1 thru 6, which I select Yoke nt 1 as input.  None of the lists say Yoke nt 1 input, or yoke nt 1 output. Seems the programs take care of themselves.  How do you get them crossed up?
