Audio Pops Please Help (Yes I used myokepriority)

I am running Windows XP and ever since I have installed MidiYoke, I have pops and clicks whenever I play an audio CD. It does not occur when I play MP3s. Pops and clicks occur about every .8 seconds when listening using Winamp or SonicStage. They occur about twice as fast when listening using Windows Media Player.
I know what you are thinking. Has he used myokepriority.reg? Yes and confirmed set to 0. I have even installed manually and removed and installed using mysntauto.exe and removed.
In addition, the audio on my computer seems to be corrupted. The only time sounds (e.g., error beeps or even line input) work is when I have Windows Media Player playing a song or is paused. If it is stopped, the audio sounds distant and distorted.
Please excuse my ignorance about this and help me understand if this is a MidiYoke/audio linkage busted problem or a different problem and if there is a fix. This is driving me crazy when listening to audio CDs.
