Sibelius/Cubase-Hyper canvas

I'm trying to use Sibelius as master and Cubase as slave. Yoke 1 set for output on S and input on C. No sound. Have set midi-playback device as yoke 1 in audio in control panel. Mixer in S set to yoke 1 out, Devices in S set to yoke 1 out and my controller/external sound card in. I've tried some different combos - but no sound. Am I too much of a dummy here or what? please help Mike H

Hi Uwe I activated midi chanel one on Cubase - selected Yoke 1 as input and Edirol Hyper Canvas as output. Mike

Does MIDI-OX see MIDI Input from Sibelius through MIDI Yoke (try substituting MIDI-OX for Cubase for this test)?

Hi The OX doesn't seem to recognize input from Sibelius. It is recognizing note input from my Midiman controller - The OX and Sib. screens both show note input from the controller when I have them up together - But when I play Sib back it does not show on the OX - now this is with Cubase disconnected. When I had C connected (input Yoke 1 and output Hyper Canvas) - when I switched over from Sib to Cub there seemed to be a whole bunch of notes stored in some sort of buffer that all tried to sound at once when I switched over. Sib has a devices screen for input and output. I set input to my external Edirol sound card which has my midiman controller hooked in via midi cable - from there it goes via USB to the computer. Sib devices output I have tried different configs - it allows all to be used if you want - I assume I need Yoke 1 for output to bridge to Cubase - It also has a mixer setting to select output - and changing that doesn't put playback input into the OX. thanks Mike

Just to be clear... You select MIDI Yoke 1 as OUTPUT from Sibelius. You select MIDI Yoke 1 as INPUT to MIDI-OX. You press Play in Sibelius, but no data is transferred to MIDI-OX? If that is the case, you will need to solve this before you can get the data into Cubase using this method.
