MIDI Yoke,XG Edit,Sonar and SYXG50

I've recently got a new PC with Win XP and need to set up a configuration like this:

MIDI Keyboard -> XG Edit -> Midi Yoke -> Sonar -> Yamaha SYXG50

When I set this up, it works only if I set XG Edit to "Through" mode - ie I can then control the Yamaha SYXG50 from inside Sonar, but any setings I make in XG Edit are ignored.

If I turn Through mode off in XG-Edit I get no sound.

I suspect that I should do something to settings in Midi Ox but haven't been able to figure out what.

Any ideas, please? Thanks
Geoff

You basically need to setup XG Edit in parallel with SONAR, rather than series.

You could try Gary Gregsons instructions for XGEdit.   You may be able to use them directly, substituting MIDI Yoke for Hubis Loopback (LB), and MIDI-OX for hwmdcable:
